A walk-and-talk series exploring our region’s trails.

Trails & Tales brings Pierce County’s trails to life through immersive stories, local culture, and community connection. Each event highlights the landscapes and voices that make our region unique—while showcasing ForeverGreen Trails’ work to protect, connect, and expand the trail network. Explore the trail, discover the story, and support a healthier, more connected Pierce County.
Join us for a Tacoma Waterfront Walk on Saturday, April 25th at 3-4:15 PM.
Our 1.3 mile walk will begin at Jack Hyde Park, heading north as we learn about the history of Tacoma's waterfront, the vision for its future, and collaborative plans that the City and Parks Tacoma have for its continued development, including parks and public spaces along it.
We will be joined by community advocates supporting the parks bond measure that Tacomans are voting on (ballots due April 28th).
Following the walk, participants are invited to gather at Katie Downs Tavern nearby for socializing, so bring a friend!
FREE EVENT but registration required.
