TRAILS & ALES

"Enjoy a social gathering and learn about our region’s emerging trail network!"

Last May we gathered at Acorn Brewing to learn about the City of Edgewood's exciting project to fill a gap in the Interurban Trail. The video below covers the historic electric Interurban Railroad that ran in this corridor and current plans to reestablish this Tacoma-Seattle route via trail!

ForeverGreen Trails is helping to secure funding for this trail project — we need to raise $10,000  to leverage a $3 million grant, so please donate to our Edgewood Interurban Trail fund drive.

Past Trails & Ales Events

2022

In 2022, we featured the Tacoma to Puyallup Trail (T2P) — part of the SR 167 Gateway Project. WSDOT project representatives joined us to talk about this important regional project. They provided an update on the status of its phases and announced an online open house to solicit public feedback on certain design aspects. We don't have a recording of this event, but you can learn about the project on WSDOT's website.

2021

In 2021 we unveiled our Trails Scorecard Program, an effort to assess how well local jurisdictions are supporting trails through policy, planning, funding, promotion, and coordination with other entities. We also discussed using technology to help local jurisdictions develop trails faster. Learn about it by watching the video below:

2020

At Trails & Ales 2020 we had presentations about the Pierce County Active Transportation Plan update and the Pipeline and Parkland Community Trails. Here is a recording of the event:
