PUYALLUP RIVERWALK TRAIL
FUND DRIVE!
Help Us Connect the Riverwalk Trail!

ForeverGreen Trails and Foothills Rails-to-Trails Coalition are launching a fund drive for the Puyallup Riverwalk Trail Phase 5 project. By filling the gap in this beloved trail, we will create more safe and inviting places for people to walk, bike, and roll! Your generous donation will provide matching funds needed for grants to construct this project AND it will help show robust community support, which makes the grant applications more competitive and likely to succeed.

Please help us reach our drive goal of $15,000. The first $5,000 of donations will be matched!

The Puyallup Riverwalk Trail is a 8-mile paved non-motorized path on the south side of the river, just north of downtown. There is a gap in the trail between Veteran's Park and the State Route 512 overpass. Phase 5 of the trail's development, seeks to fill this and connect the two sections of the trail together. As much of the project as possible will be separated from the roadway and adjacent to (though elevated from) the Puyallup River. The project is currently in design and the City expects to apply for construction grants starting in the winter of 2026. ForeverGreen Trails and Foothills are committed partners in helping to fill in this missing link and we invite you to join us by making a donation to this fund drive.

A separate phase of the trail's development will connect the Riverwalk Trail to the Foothills National Recreation Trail near Van Lierop Park.
Our recent Trails & Ales event included a presentation
on this project.
